**New Delhi, March 13, 2025** – The National Testing Agency (NTA) today successfully launched the Common University Entrance Test – Postgraduate (CUET PG 2025), with thousands of students appearing for the online exam across the country. The first day of testing saw three shifts covering a range of subjects, including Theatre, Botany, Statistics, Art and Aesthetics, Mathematics, B.Ed. Humanities and Social Sciences, and Electronics Communication and Information Engineering, among others.
The exam, held in a computer-based test (CBT) format, was administered in three shifts: 9:00 am to 10:30 am, 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm, and 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Each 90-minute exam consisted of 75 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each correct answer earning four marks and each incorrect answer incurring a one-mark penalty. Unanswered questions received no penalty.
The CUET PG 2025, running from March 13th to April 1st, covers a total of 157 subjects and serves as the entrance exam for postgraduate programs at central universities and participating institutions nationwide. The official answer key will be released by IIT Roorkee on the official website following the completion of the exam. Candidates can then download the answer key to calculate their scores using the provided marking scheme.
