Wed Mar 12 11:06:27 UTC 2025: ## RJD Denies Rumours of Approach to Nitish Kumar Amidst Heated Bihar Political Climate

**Patna, Bihar** – Amidst rising political tensions in poll-bound Bihar, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav vehemently denied rumors suggesting his party attempted to woo Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to join the opposition ahead of the upcoming state elections.

Yadav dismissed the speculation during a press conference, stating, “Who gives you these ideas? Why would we welcome him? There is no offer; don’t talk nonsense.” He asserted that only he and party patriarch Lalu Yadav have the authority to make such offers, and no such offer was made.

The rumors emerged against a backdrop of Kumar’s well-documented history of shifting political alliances. His past collaborations and subsequent departures from both the RJD and BJP have fueled speculation. Kumar, once a fierce rival of Lalu Yadav, formed an alliance with the RJD in 2015, leading to a significant victory. However, he later joined hands with the BJP, only to return to the opposition and then back to the NDA in recent years.

The denials follow a series of heated exchanges between Yadav and Kumar in the Bihar Assembly. Kumar, during a debate, claimed credit for making Lalu Yadav Chief Minister, prompting a sharp retort from Yadav, who countered that the RJD’s support was instrumental in Kumar’s own two terms as Chief Minister and in saving his party. Yadav further pointed out his father’s prior electoral successes, emphasizing Lalu Yadav’s significant political achievements. The escalating feud highlights the intense political rivalry between the two leaders as Bihar prepares for crucial elections.
