Wed Mar 12 20:06:36 UTC 2025: **Delhi AAP Accuses BJP of Bias in Assembly, Unfulfilled Promises**

New Delhi, March 13, 2025 – The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi launched a two-pronged attack against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday. AAP staged city-wide protests alleging the BJP has failed to deliver on election promises, while simultaneously accusing the Assembly Speaker of bias against the opposition party.

Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Atishi wrote to Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta, claiming unfair treatment during the last session. She cited discrepancies in speaking time allocated to the ruling party and the opposition during discussions on Comptroller and Auditor General reports, alleging the BJP was given significantly more time. She further accused the Speaker of excessively interrupting opposition members.

Speaker Gupta dismissed Atishi’s accusations as “baseless” and politically motivated. He pointed to the suspension of 21 AAP MLAs, including Atishi, for disrupting the Lieutenant-Governor’s address in February as justification for his actions.

Meanwhile, AAP held public meetings across Delhi, criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for unfulfilled promises such as monthly financial aid for women and free LPG cylinders. Former AAP MLA Rituraj Jha specifically called out these pledges as broken promises. The BJP is yet to respond to these latest accusations.
