**Hyderabad, March 11, 2025** – Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Legislature Party leader and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has urged party legislators to launch a vigorous campaign to address public concerns. In a meeting held at Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday, Rao instructed party members to actively raise issues in the Assembly and Council, countering what he termed as false propaganda from the treasury benches.
Key issues highlighted for immediate legislative action include the plight of farmers facing crop failure and water scarcity, the need for enhanced Backward Classes reservation and implementation of Scheduled Castes sub-categorisation. Rao also emphasized the need to address concerns about neglected residential educational institutions, delayed retirement benefits and pay revisions for employees, and the discontinuation of the Dalit Bandhu scheme.
Further criticisms of the government focused on the deteriorating public health sector, the non-release of overseas scholarship funds, the alleged failure to deliver on election promises (the “six guarantees”), and the neglect of sheep units and fish seedling distribution.
Rao, who will personally attend the upcoming Assembly session after recovering from an injury, announced plans to appoint deputy floor leaders to improve coordination in raising these issues. The meeting, attended by senior party leaders including working president K.T. Rama Rao, lasted over three hours.
