Tue Mar 11 19:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Saints Tight End Juwan Johnson Inks Three-Year Deal

**New Orleans, LA** – New Orleans Saints tight end Juwan Johnson has agreed to a three-year contract extension, his agent AJ Vaynerchuk announced Tuesday. The 28-year-old Johnson, who overcame a foot injury that sidelined him during much of last summer’s training camp, will remain in black and gold.

Johnson, originally signed as an undrafted free agent wide receiver in 2020, transitioned to tight end in 2021 under then-coach Sean Payton. The move proved pivotal to his career. In 2022, he led the Saints with seven receiving touchdowns, solidifying his role as a key offensive contributor. Last season, he recorded a career-high 50 receptions and three touchdowns, playing in all 17 games despite his previous injury.

Over his five-year NFL career, Johnson has amassed 146 receptions for 1,622 yards and 18 touchdowns. This new contract represents a significant commitment from the Saints to a player who has consistently exceeded expectations and become a vital part of their offense.
