Wed Mar 12 13:55:11 UTC 2025: ## Hyderabad Police Bust Counterfeit Unilever Goods Ring
**Hyderabad, March 13, 2025** – Mailardevpally police in Hyderabad launched a crackdown on a counterfeit goods operation, raiding a facility in Madhuban Colony on Wednesday and seizing packaging materials, machinery, and numerous fake Hindustan Unilever (HUL) products. The operation followed a complaint from a HUL manager alleging the illegal manufacture and sale of counterfeit shampoos, washing powders, tea powders, and other household items bearing the company’s branding.
The primary suspect, Veerendra Gehlot, remains at large and police have initiated a search operation. A case has been filed under the Copyright Act and for charges of cheating. Samples of the seized goods have been sent to the Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory for analysis to determine the extent of the fraud. The investigation is ongoing.
