**Chennai, March 12, 2025** – The Election Commission of India (ECI) has called on national and state political parties to submit suggestions for improving electoral processes by April 30th, 2025. The ECI aims to address any outstanding issues at the level of Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), District Election Officers (DEOs), or Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs).
In a letter issued Tuesday, the ECI also announced plans to hold meetings with party presidents and senior leaders to further strengthen electoral processes within the legal framework. The Commission encouraged parties to utilize existing decentralized engagement mechanisms proactively. The dates for these meetings will be determined mutually.
