Wed Mar 12 13:10:21 UTC 2025: ## Honest Erode Man Returns Lost Gold Jewellery
**ERODE, March 12, 2025** – A daily wage worker from Vairapalayam, Erode, has been praised for his honesty after returning a lost purse containing 1.25 sovereigns of gold jewellery to the police. Selvam found the purse on the road Tuesday night and, despite the inclement weather, waited until Wednesday morning to hand it over to authorities.
The jewellery belonged to Prabha from Krishnampalayam, who had lost the purse while riding her two-wheeler to a wedding. After discovering her loss, she reported it to the Karungalpalayam police.
Selvam’s act of integrity was lauded by Additional Superintendent of Police M. Vivekanandan, who personally received the purse and commended Selvam for his honesty. The jewellery was subsequently returned to a grateful Prabha.
