**Patna, Bihar –** A major clash erupted in the Bihar Legislative Council on Wednesday between Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Leader of the Opposition Rabri Devi, leading to a walkout by the opposition. The heated exchange began after Rabri Devi challenged Kumar’s assertion that previous governments had accomplished nothing. Her retort, referencing a past gaffe by Kumar regarding women’s empowerment, escalated the situation.

Kumar, in turn, accused the opposition of neglecting women’s welfare and criticized Rabri Devi’s time as Chief Minister. He further defended his alliance with the BJP, stating their joint efforts would continue.

Following the incident, Rabri Devi accused Kumar of being under the influence of cannabis and behaving disrespectfully towards women. Her son, Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, called for Kumar’s resignation, citing mental instability. He also accused Kumar of showing disrespect to his father, Lalu Prasad.

The opposition subsequently staged a walkout and announced a boycott of the Council until Kumar apologizes for his remarks. The incident has created a significant political stir in Bihar.
