Tue Mar 11 11:44:55 UTC 2025: ## Bengaluru’s ParTTwo: A New Culinary Experience Rejects Labels
**Bengaluru, March 11, 2025** – Chef Karan Upmanyu, formerly of Indian Accent (New York) and Toast & Tonic (Bengaluru), has launched ParTTwo, a new establishment that defies easy categorization. Located in the iconic former Biere Club building on Lavelle Road, ParTTwo offers a seasonally evolving menu of small plates and innovative cocktails, prioritizing a fun and relaxed atmosphere over a strict culinary concept.
Upmanyu aims to provide a space where Bengaluru residents can simply enjoy themselves. The menu, which changes every four to six months, currently features Asian-inspired small plates with unique sauces and interesting flavor combinations. Dishes sampled included sweet potato chips with various dips, a burrata salad with peanut tahini sauce, and a DIY tuna nori bite wrap. While some dishes impressed (the tuna and sweet potato), others, like the potato laab, fell short.
ParTTwo’s cocktail menu is equally creative, incorporating regionally sourced Geographical Indication (GI) tagged ingredients. Highlights include the Malabar Spritz with indi lime and the Toddy Shop Cocktail featuring blended rum, salted rice, chilli cordial, and Nannari soda. The cocktails are described as innovative, fun, and locally inspired.
The restaurant boasts a chic yet laid-back ambience with wood-panelled walls and mid-century modern décor. The reviewer concluded that while the “no concept” approach might seem unconventional, ParTTwo successfully delivers on its promise of a fun and enjoyable dining experience. Prices average ₹2,000 for two.
