**Mumbai, India – March 12, 2025** – Fans of epic science fiction will have a second chance to experience Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two” and Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar” on the big screen. Warner Bros. India announced today a limited IMAX re-release of both films, starting March 14th and running through March 20th nationwide.
The re-release comes on the heels of “Interstellar’s” recent 10th-anniversary re-release in India, which defied box office competition to gross nearly ₹20 crore in a single week. The film’s original theatrical run amassed an estimated ₹662.3 crore worldwide. “Dune: Part Two,” which earned ₹34 crore in India during its initial release and ₹623.1 crore internationally, also received critical acclaim, winning Best Sound and Best Visual Effects at the Academy Awards.
Both films share a common thread: Timothée Chalamet, who stars as the lead in “Dune” and appears in a supporting role in “Interstellar.” The two films also feature the work of renowned composer Hans Zimmer.
“Interstellar” follows a former NASA pilot searching for a new home for humanity, while “Dune: Part Two” continues the saga of Paul Atredies as he navigates the harsh desert world of Arrakis.
This re-release offers a unique opportunity for Indian audiences to revisit or experience these critically acclaimed sci-fi masterpieces in the immersive IMAX format.
