**Ara, Bihar, March 11, 2025** – A brazen daylight robbery occurred at a prominent jewellery store in Bihar’s Bhojpur district on Monday, March 10, leaving police scrambling to recover the stolen goods. Six armed robbers stormed the store in Gopali Chowk, Ara, around 11 a.m., overpowering staff at gunpoint. They held employees hostage for over 30 minutes before escaping with what employees claim was ₹25 crore worth of jewellery.
The robbery was captured on CCTV footage, which has since gone viral on social media. Swift police action led to the arrest of two suspects after a brief shootout. Authorities recovered two bags containing a portion of the stolen jewellery, reportedly around 70% of the total. Two additional suspects were apprehended following a separate chase and exchange of gunfire near Barhara. Both received leg injuries during the arrest.
Superintendent of Police Raj stated that the investigation is ongoing, and efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining four robbers. Police have increased security in the town following the incident.
