Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh – March 11, 2025 – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called for significant improvements in the quality and efficiency of government services. During a Monday review of government schemes, Naidu emphasized the need to meet citizens’ expectations and address recurring complaints. He directed officials to identify and counsel underperforming staff, vowing zero tolerance for corruption within government departments.
Naidu also announced the state’s exploration of “work from home,” “neighbourhood working,” and “co-working” models to create more employment opportunities. A survey of 26.8 million people is underway to assess the viability of remote work, with 8.206 million already surveyed and 1.72 lakh currently working remotely. A further 2.043 million have expressed interest in remote work options.
The Chief Minister further highlighted the success of the Mana Mitra initiative, which now provides 200 services via WhatsApp. He stressed the importance of digital literacy training to ensure citizens are aware of and utilize these online services, emphasizing that this will reduce the need to visit government offices and help combat corruption.
