VIJAYAWADA, March 10, 2025 – Valluru Bhargav, head of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Professionals’ wing, criticized the central government’s proposed delimitation exercise and three-language policy, arguing that the benefits of these policies need clearer explanation to the people. Bhargav expressed concern that these policies could diminish the importance of regions that have significantly contributed to the nation’s progress.

He highlighted the declining economic strength of southern states, including Andhra Pradesh’s reliance on central funds for development. Accusing the BJP of attempting to “saffronize” the nation through unilateral decisions, Bhargav pointed to public frustration over the unfulfilled promises of Special Category Status and financial aid made following the state’s division.

Bhargav further criticized Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for prioritizing party politics over securing the state’s interests, warning that continued inaction could lead to a loss of public faith, echoing the downfall of the previous YSR Congress Party government.
