**Hyderabad, March 10, 2025** – K.T. Rama Rao, working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), has accused Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of orchestrating a transferable development rights (TDR) scam in Hyderabad. Rao claims four real estate brokers close to Reddy are purchasing TDRs at low prices, planning to leverage future changes in floor space index (FSI) guidelines for substantial profit.
Rao demanded a government white paper on TDR transactions and alleged Reddy is secretly working with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He cited recent comments by AICC leader Rahul Gandhi about BJP infiltrators within Congress as indirectly referring to Reddy. He further questioned Reddy’s recent meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, suggesting a hidden agenda behind the requests for state funding.
Regarding the ongoing debate over Backward Classes (BC) reservations, Rao challenged Reddy to undertake a fast-unto-death in Delhi if he is serious about securing a 42% quota for BCs, suggesting that constitutional amendments are achievable with BJP and Congress cooperation. He also defended the BRS’s support for Dasoju Sravan in the recent MLC elections and confirmed that BRS Legislature Party leader K. Chandrasekhar Rao will attend the upcoming Assembly session.
