**CHENNAI, March 9, 2025** – Paramasivum Pillay ‘Barlen’ Vyapoory, former Vice-President of Mauritius, toured the International Institute of Tamil Studies (IITS) in Chennai on Saturday. The visit included exploring galleries showcasing ancient Tamil skills in metalcraft, agriculture, medicine, and weaponry. Vyapoory was given a tour by IITS Director R. Balakrishnan and interacted with students and researchers. Officials from the Tamil Development Department were also present.
