Sun Mar 09 02:10:00 UTC 2025: **Celtics Guard Derrick White Loses Temporary Bridge in Game Against 76ers**

**BOSTON, MA –** Boston Celtics guard Derrick White experienced another unfortunate dental incident during Thursday night’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers. A collision with 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. knocked out White’s temporary dental bridge, a replacement for teeth damaged during last year’s NBA Finals.

White, who had been postponing the installation of a permanent bridge, had his temporary fix dislodged in the first half. He quickly retrieved the bridge from the court, secured it with adhesive, and returned to the game in the second half, finishing with 12 points and 6 assists.

“Luckily, they were right there and I picked them up,” White said post-game. He admitted to delaying the permanent procedure despite his dentist’s urging, stating, “I wish I went [to the dentist] earlier.”

White plans to see his dentist Friday to address the issue. The incident, while unusual, did not appear to significantly impact his performance. The Celtics ultimately won the game 123-105.
