
Sat Mar 08 00:21:00 UTC 2025: ## Andhra Pradesh Cabinet Approves ₹9,000 Crore Bond Issue, Key Infrastructure Projects
**Vijayawada, March 8, 2025** – The Andhra Pradesh State Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, approved a significant ₹9,000 crore bond issuance by the Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation (APMDC) on Friday. The funds will be raised through senior, secured, rated, listed, redeemable, and taxable non-convertible debentures.
The Cabinet also green-lighted several key infrastructure and development projects. This includes the establishment of a ₹5.34 crore Digital Health Nerve Center in Kuppam, the creation of 372 Civil Assistant Surgeon (PG Lean) posts, and the implementation of the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Land Allocation Policy 2024-2029, focusing on Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) for tourism development.
Significant land allocations were approved for various projects, including: 116.974 acres for the Havelock Bridge development in Rajamahendravaram; 66.12 acres for a tourism center in Kakinada; 27.26 acres for an MSME Park in Parvathipuram-Manyam; and 10.72 acres for an Agricultural College in Rajahmundry. Additionally, 2 acres of land were leased for the construction of a TDP district office in Vizianagaram.
Administrative reforms were also approved, including amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Service Rules, 2001, to streamline services and enhance the ranks of District Panchayat Officers and Extension Training Center Principals. Amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2016, were also approved, renaming Centurion School of Rural Enterprise Management Trust.
Finally, the Cabinet ratified the allocation of liquor shops to specific communities, as per previously issued government orders. The amended bills will be presented to the Legislative Assembly for approval.
