**Hyderabad, March 7, 2025** – The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today seized a private jet, a Hawker 800A (N935H), at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad. The aircraft, allegedly used by fugitive businessman Amardeep Kumar to flee India on January 22nd, was purchased in 2024 for $1.6 million. Authorities believe the funds used for the purchase were proceeds of crime linked to an ongoing investigation into financial irregularities at Kumar’s Falcon Group (M/s Capital Protection Force Pvt. Ltd.).
Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of Falcon Group, is suspected of orchestrating an ₹850 crore ponzi scheme via the Falcon Invoice Discounting Platform. The ED initiated its investigation following an FIR filed by the Cyberabad Police’s Economic Offences Wing on February 21st.
The ED tracked the aircraft to Hyderabad, where officials searched the plane, interviewed the crew and a close associate of Kumar, and subsequently seized the jet. Customs records corroborate that Kumar fled the country with an associate, Vivek Seth, aboard the aircraft. The investigation into the Falcon Group’s financial irregularities continues.
