**New Delhi, [Date]** – Indian women are making significant strides in the hospitality sector, with nearly 30% of Airbnb hosts in the country earning a collective ₹260 crore (approximately $31 million USD) in 2024, according to data released by the company. This success showcases the growing economic empowerment of women through the platform.

Over 56% of these women hosts received 5-star reviews, highlighting the exceptional quality of their services. Furthermore, almost 35% of guests’ favorite listings in India are hosted by women.

The report also highlights a surge in Indian women travelers utilizing Airbnb. Millennials and Gen Zs lead the booking trend, with most women traveling in groups of two or more for short trips (two to six nights).

Domestically, Goa was the most popular destination for Indian women travelers in 2024, followed by Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, and Jaipur. However, Varanasi experienced the most significant growth, with bookings increasing by over 75% compared to 2023.

For international travel, London topped the list, followed by Dubai, Bangkok, Paris, and Rome. Tbilisi, Georgia, saw the most dramatic increase in bookings, surging nearly 145% year-over-year.

Amanpreet Singh Bajaj, Airbnb’s Country Head for India and Southeast Asia, stated that the data demonstrates women hosts achieving financial independence while delivering excellent hospitality. Airbnb emphasized its commitment to fostering a more equitable future by empowering both women hosts and travelers.
