**Chennai, March 7, 2025** – The Australian Consulate-General in Chennai partnered with Urbaser Sumeet, the city’s solid waste management concessionnaire, to host a beach cleanup at Elliot’s Beach on Thursday. The initiative, aligning with Australia’s 35-year-old Clean Up Australia movement and Chennai’s Singara Chennai 2.0 project, saw 50 volunteers, including Tamil Nadu’s Additional Chief Secretary Supriya Sahu and Australia’s Consul-General Silai Zaki, participate.
