**Vail, CO –** New Jersey Devils star center Jack Hughes underwent successful shoulder surgery today at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado. The procedure, performed by Dr. Peter Millett, was deemed a success, and Hughes is expected to make a full recovery in time for the start of the 2025 Devils training camp.

Hughes sustained the shoulder injury during a March 2nd game against the Vegas Golden Knights. Following a review of medical imaging and consultations with Hughes, his family, representatives, and the Devils’ medical staff, the decision was made to proceed with surgery.

For roster management purposes, Hughes has been placed on long-term injured reserve (LTIR). The Devils organization expressed confidence in his complete recovery and anticipates his return to the ice next season.
