Thu Mar 06 04:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Ducks Defeat Canucks 5-2 in Home Victory Streak
**ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) –** The Anaheim Ducks extended their home winning streak to five games with a convincing 5-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night. The win marks the Ducks’ eighth victory in their last 11 games, representing their best stretch of form since November 2021.
Frank Vatrano, Cutter Gauthier, and Ryan Strome each scored in the second period to erase an early Canucks lead. Tyler Myers and Pius Suter had given Vancouver a quick 2-0 advantage within the first few minutes of the game. However, the Ducks responded with a dominant second and third period, scoring five unanswered goals. Jackson LaCombe added a late goal in the third, and Troy Terry sealed the victory with an empty-netter. Terry and Strome each contributed a goal and two assists.
Lukas Dostal earned the win in net for Anaheim, despite allowing two early goals, making 22 saves in his first home start in over three weeks. Arturs Silovs stopped 20 shots for the Canucks, who are now 1-3-0 on their current road trip and have extended their losing streak when trailing after two periods to 26 games.
The Ducks’ improved performance comes amidst an injury to starting goaltender John Gibson, putting added pressure on Dostal. Both teams face divisional rivals on Saturday; the Canucks visit Seattle, while the Ducks host Chicago.
