Thu Mar 06 01:32:11 UTC 2025: ## UP STF and Punjab Police Arrest BKI Terrorist with ISI Links
**Lucknow, March 6, 2025** – A joint operation by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) and Punjab Police led to the arrest of Lajar Masih, an active Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist with alleged links to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), early Thursday morning. Masih, a resident of Amritsar, Punjab, was apprehended around 3:20 a.m. in the Kokhraj police station area of Kaushambi district.
According to Additional Director General of Police (U.P. STF, Law and Order) Amitabh Yash, Masih works for Swarn Singh alias Jeevan Fauji, the head of the Germany-based BKI module, and maintains direct contact with ISI operatives in Pakistan. The operation resulted in the seizure of three hand grenades, two detonators, a foreign-made pistol, 13 foreign-made cartridges, white explosive powder, an Aadhaar card with a Ghaziabad address, and a SIM-less mobile phone.
Authorities confirmed that Masih had escaped from judicial custody in Punjab on September 24, 2024. The arrest is considered a significant blow to the BKI’s operations.
