Thu Mar 06 06:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Apple Quietly Discontinues M2 and M3 MacBook Air Models After M4 Launch
**Mumbai, India –** Apple has swiftly discontinued its M2 and M3 MacBook Air models just one day after launching the new M4-powered MacBook Air. The tech giant removed the older models from its online store, effectively clearing the way for its latest iteration.
While no longer available new from Apple, customers can still find refurbished M2 and M3 models in Apple’s certified refurbished store for a limited time. Third-party retailers such as Amazon and Flipkart, and physical stores like Reliance Digital and Croma, may also continue to sell existing stock.
Apple touts the new M4 chip as delivering a substantial performance upgrade, boasting speeds up to 23 times faster than older Intel-based MacBooks and twice as fast as the M1. However, a direct performance comparison between the M4 and its immediate predecessors (M2 and M3) has not been released by Apple.
The new MacBook Air (2025) is available in 13-inch and 15-inch models, featuring Apple Intelligence and the latest macOS Sequoia. It launches in India on March 12th, priced at ₹99,900 for the base 13-inch model (16GB RAM, 256GB SSD) and ₹124,900 for the equivalent 15-inch configuration. Four colors are available: Midnight, Silver, Sky Blue, and Starlight. Pre-orders are open now.
