**Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh –** In a joint operation early Thursday morning, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) and Punjab Police apprehended Lajar Masih, an active Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist with alleged links to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Masih, a resident of Amritsar, Punjab, was arrested around 3:20 AM in the Kokhraj police station area of Kaushambi district.
According to Additional Director General of Police (UP STF, Law and Order) Amitabh Yash, Masih is believed to work for Swarn Singh alias Jeevan Fauji, head of the Germany-based BKI module, and maintains direct contact with ISI operatives in Pakistan.
The operation yielded a significant seizure of weapons and explosives, including three active hand grenades, two active detonators, a foreign-made pistol with 13 cartridges, an explosive powder, and a mobile phone (without a SIM card). An Aadhaar card with a Ghaziabad address was also recovered.
