Wed Mar 05 03:06:32 UTC 2025: ## Vijayawada MP to Push for AYUSH Research Hospital in Nandigama

**Vijayawada, March 5, 2025** – A coalition of religious organizations and 90 labor and public associations have urged the establishment of a 25-bed AYUSH research hospital in Nandigama, Andhra Pradesh. The request was submitted as a petition to Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath on Tuesday.

The petition, supported by a letter from Nandigama MLA Tangirala Sowmya, proposes utilizing a 16-cent plot owned by the AYUSH department. Representatives, including the president of the Ex-Servicemen’s Association and former AYUSH medical officers, advocated for integrating various AYUSH systems (Ayurveda, Yoga, Homoeopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Sowarigpa) under a single umbrella to serve the Nandigama community.

MP Sivanath has responded favorably, promising to discuss the proposal with the Chief Minister, the State Health Department, and the local MLA. He further committed to preparing project estimates in consultation with AYUSH officials and submitting them to the Central AYUSH department for consideration.
