**Nashville, TN** – Get ready, Music City! Nashville is set to lasso a brand-new tradition: a professional rodeo. Announced Tuesday by Tim McGraw’s Down Home entertainment group, the Music City Rodeo will be the city’s first event sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). The three-day event, running May 29-31 at Bridgestone Arena, promises a high-octane blend of country music and rodeo action.

Country music superstars Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire, and rising star Jelly Roll will headline the respective nights, bringing their talents to the arena alongside thrilling rodeo competitions including bull riding and barrel racing. Cowboys and cowgirls will compete for a $200,000 prize purse. Family-friendly events like mutton bustin’ (sheep riding) and a rodeo queen pageant will also be featured.

McGraw, who has performed at numerous rodeos, expressed his excitement about bringing the event to Nashville, calling it a natural pairing of country music and rodeo. McEntire, a well-known rodeo enthusiast, echoed his sentiment, stating that the event is “a perfect combination” and a new Nashville tradition in the making. Jelly Roll, newly named “artist in residence” on American Idol, described the event as a “history-making” milestone for the city, comparing it to the arrival of the Nashville Predators and Titans.

Tickets go on sale March 7th at 10 a.m. CT, with prices starting at $50. Pre-sale tickets are available March 5th. The event is a partnership between Down Home, Humes Rodeo, and Skydance Media.
