Wed Mar 05 12:03:52 UTC 2025: ## Kishor Predicts Nitish Kumar’s Political Downfall in Bihar Elections

**Patna, Bihar:** Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraaj Party and former election strategist, has made bold predictions about Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s political future, claiming Kumar will contest the upcoming assembly elections in alliance with the BJP but ultimately fail to secure another term as chief minister.

Kishor, addressing a press conference in West Champaran, asserted that Kumar’s popularity has waned significantly, making a fifth term impossible regardless of his alliance. He issued a dramatic challenge: “Anybody can become the chief minister in November, after the assembly elections are over, except Nitish Kumar. If I am proven wrong, I will give up my own political campaign.”

Kishor attributed the BJP’s reluctance to publicly declare Kumar as their chief ministerial candidate to his declining popularity. He challenged Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah to make such a declaration, arguing that doing so would hinder BJP’s chances of winning seats.

Kishor predicted that Kumar may attempt to switch alliances post-election if the BJP’s lack of support becomes clear, but this would be futile due to the JD(U)’s anticipated poor performance. He further criticized Kumar’s leadership, alleging physical and mental fatigue, citing past comments from BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi about Kumar’s health. Kishor also condemned Kumar’s show of deference to Prime Minister Modi, describing it as sycophancy.

The Jan Suraaj Party, Kishor stated, aims to break the decades-long dominance of Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav in Bihar’s political landscape, also criticizing the BJP’s prohibition policy and contrasting it with the approach in other BJP-ruled states. He described the policy, along with free ration distribution, as insufficient to address Bihar’s needs.
