**RANIPET, March 5, 2025** – Ranipet district will be a no-fly zone from March 6th to 7th due to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Recruits Training Centre (RTC) in Thakkolam, near Arakkonam. The visit coincides with a renaming ceremony for the RTC, which will be officially designated as the Rajaditya Cholan RTC.

Superintendent of Police Vivekananda Shukla announced the no-fly zone on Tuesday. The renaming commemorates Chola prince Rajaditya Cholan, who perished in a battle at the site centuries ago. The name change was ordered by CISF Director General Rajwinder Singh Bhatti in February.
