NEW DELHI, March 5, 2025 – The Delhi Public Works Department (PWD) Minister, Parvesh Sahib Singh, has approved the transfer of a 13.23-km stretch of road between Peeragarhi Chowk and the Tikri border to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). This decision follows a request from BJP MLA Gajender Singh Drall highlighting severe congestion on the Delhi-Rohtak road affecting countless commuters. The transfer aims to improve traffic flow and connectivity between Delhi and Haryana, with the NHAI implementing upgrades to meet its standards. The move comes after Minister Singh contacted Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Meanwhile, the PWD has set an April 30 deadline to repair over 7,000 potholes across Delhi, following a February 21 review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. The tender process for these repairs is expected to conclude by March 15.
