Tue Mar 04 23:15:00 UTC 2025: ## Hyderabad Man Arrested for ₹14 Crore Investment Scam

**HYDERABAD, March 5, 2025** – Kandula Srinivasa Rao, 44, has been arrested by the Cyberabad police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) for allegedly defrauding around 200 investors of ₹14 crore. Rao, who ran M/s Well Vision Group of Companies in KPHB Colony, lured victims with promises of high returns on investments through various schemes.

These schemes offered daily or monthly payouts on deposits ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹50 lakh, with documents like MoUs and post-dated cheques provided as security. While initial payouts were made to build trust, the company ultimately ceased payments and shut down, leaving investors with significant losses.

At least 35 victims have so far come forward to report their losses, with the EOW registering a case under charges of cheating, criminal breach of trust, criminal conspiracy, and Section 5 of the Telangana Protection of Depositors of Financial Establishment Act, 1999. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the fraud and identify any potential accomplices.
