**Hyderabad, March 5, 2025** – Popular Telugu playback singer, dubbing artist, and actress Kalpana attempted suicide on March 4th, leaving the Telugu film industry in shock. The 27-year veteran of the industry, known for her thousands of performances both nationally and internationally, was found unconscious in her Hyderabad home after security personnel noticed her apartment door remained closed for two days.
Kalpana, who has also appeared on reality TV shows like Bigg Boss and ETV’s Swarabhishekam, was discovered to have ingested sleeping pills. She was rushed to a private hospital and is currently on a ventilator, her condition described as critical by medical professionals.
