**Hyderabad, March 5, 2025** – The Indian Army, in collaboration with other agencies, is pressing ahead with rescue and restoration operations at the Srisailam Left Bank Tunnel (SLBC) in Telangana. A continuous effort involving day and night shifts is underway to clear the tunnel.
A night shift team worked through Tuesday evening and into Wednesday morning, followed by a morning shift commencing at 7:50 a.m. The Army’s Engineering Task Force (ETF) is playing a crucial role, undertaking dewatering, desilting, debris removal, and the repositioning of heavy equipment, including a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM). Two excavators have been deployed to aid in these efforts. This marks the twelfth day of the ongoing rescue operation.
