**Hyderabad, March 4, 2025** – A 35-year-old woman, S. Sirisha, was found dead in her Malakpet flat on Sunday under suspicious circumstances, leading to the detention of her husband, Vinay Kumar. Police are investigating the death after Sirisha’s family raised concerns about inconsistencies in Vinay Kumar’s account of events.
According to police, Vinay Kumar initially told Sirisha’s family that she had suffered a fatal heart attack. However, his attempt to transport her body to her native village in Srisailam before her family arrived aroused suspicion. This, coupled with what police describe as evasive responses from Vinay Kumar, prompted Sirisha’s relatives to contact the authorities.
Police tracked the ambulance carrying Sirisha’s body using CCTV footage and subsequently detained Vinay Kumar. Sirisha’s body has been sent to Osmania General Hospital for an autopsy. A case has been registered, and the Chaderghat police are conducting a thorough investigation. Charges will be amended based on the autopsy report, police officials stated. The investigation is ongoing.
