**Lucknow, [Date]** – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today accused the Samajwadi Party (SP) of exploiting religious sentiments, responding to criticism from Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey who labelled him communal. Addressing the state assembly, Adityanath cited socialist leader Ram Manohar Lohia, asserting that the ideals of Lord Ram, Lord Krishna, and Adi Shankaracharya are foundational to India’s strength and unity. He claimed the current SP has deviated from Lohia’s principles.

Adityanath refuted accusations of communalism, emphasizing his government’s commitment to inclusive development, citing the mantra “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niramaya” (May all be happy, may all be free from illness). He highlighted the recent Maha Kumbh Mela as a testament to India’s inclusive heritage, attracting participants from over 100 countries without discrimination. The CM contrasted the Kumbh’s inclusivity with what he described as the SP’s manipulation of religious feelings.
