**Islamabad, March 4, 2025** – A team of Pakistani doctors conducted a 30-minute medical examination of former Prime Minister Imran Khan at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on Monday. The checkup follows concerns raised by Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) party regarding his health since his imprisonment in August 2023.

The four-member team from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), led by ENT specialist Dr. Altaf Hussain, examined Khan amidst allegations from PTI leaders that he was being held in solitary confinement and denied access to family and his personal physician. These claims fueled speculation about his well-being.

While the results of the medical examination have not yet been released, reports suggest that speculation is swirling in Islamabad regarding a potential transfer of Khan to a different location. Although Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur hinted at such a move last month, no official confirmation has been provided. The PTI’s concerns, including those voiced by information secretary Sheikh Waqqas Akram, have intensified pressure on the government to be transparent about Khan’s condition and treatment.
