**Raebareli, UP:** The holy month of Ramadan has commenced in Jalalpur Dhai village, Dineshpur block, Raebareli. The village, home to approximately 3,000 Muslims, exemplifies communal harmony with residents of all faiths celebrating each other’s festivals.
According to Maulvi Gufran Nadimi, Ramadan, which begins with the sighting of the moon, concludes with Eid after a second moon sighting. During this period, Muslims observe Roza, abstaining from food and water from sunrise to sunset, breaking their fast with Iftar prayers. Mosques will host Taraweeh prayers and recitations of the Quran, with prayers for peace and prosperity in the nation.
The village is cited as a prime example of Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb (composite culture), with residents from all communities celebrating festivals like Eid, Bakrid, Holi, and Diwali together.
