Sun Mar 02 15:50:00 UTC 2025: ## XRP’s $18,000 Prediction: A Reality Check

**New York, February 28, 2025** – A bold prediction of XRP reaching $18,000 per coin by 2030, based on a valuation white paper from Valhill Capital, is facing scrutiny. While the paper projects massive global adoption of XRP for transactions, current data suggests this scenario is highly improbable.

The white paper, released in June 2023, utilized a Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) model assuming XRP would handle a significant portion of global transactions within the next decade. This model, however, relies on assumptions that haven’t materialized.

Despite XRP’s recent price gains and positive developments like multiple spot ETF filings, key partnerships remain unconfirmed. While RippleNet, Ripple’s payment network, boasts connections with major US banks like JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America, claims of widespread internal XRP usage by institutions like Bank of America lack verifiable evidence. Transaction volume on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) also falls significantly short of what the $18,000 prediction requires.

Further fueling skepticism, claims of Wells Fargo’s approval for XRP in credit card and loan payments have been contradicted by a Wells Fargo employee.

While optimism surrounding XRP persists, particularly due to recent ETF filings, the projected level of global adoption necessary to justify an $18,000 price remains unrealistic based on current evidence. The likelihood of XRP reaching this price target by 2030 is considered extremely low.
