Mon Mar 03 02:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Xiaomi Unveils Global Launch of Xiaomi 15 Series with Google Gemini AI Integration and HyperOS 2

**Barcelona, Spain** – Xiaomi announced a major global rollout of its Xiaomi 15 series smartphones, featuring a groundbreaking partnership with Google and a new operating system. Ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, the company revealed that the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra will ship with HyperOS 2, based on Android 15, and integrate Google’s Gemini AI chatbot.

This collaboration marks the first time Xiaomi has allowed a third-party AI service provider access to its first-party apps. Gemini will be integrated into Xiaomi Notes, Calendar, and Clock, enabling users to perform tasks like creating new entries and setting alarms directly through the AI. However, Xiaomi notes that functionality may vary by device, region, and language, and requires an internet connection.

The Xiaomi 15 series also boasts Google’s Circle to Search, an AI-powered visual lookup feature. Furthermore, the devices offer early access to Xiaomi’s own HyperAI suite, positioning the company to compete with Samsung and Oppo in the burgeoning AI smartphone market.

Xiaomi’s announcement also detailed a phased rollout of HyperOS 2 to a wide range of its existing devices, including the Xiaomi 14 lineup, Redmi Note series, and several Xiaomi Pad models. The update schedule spans from March to May 2025. While the Xiaomi Watch S4 and Redmi Watch 5 will receive HyperOS 2, they will not include AI features.

The launch highlights Xiaomi’s significant push into AI-powered mobile experiences, expanding beyond its previous focus on camera AI features and the China-exclusive Super Xiao AI assistant. The global availability of the Xiaomi 15 series and HyperOS 2 signifies a major step in Xiaomi’s international growth strategy.
