**Chandigarh, March 4, 2025** – Seventy-two primary school teachers from Punjab departed for a two-week training program in Finland, marking the second batch in a knowledge exchange initiative aimed at modernizing the state’s education system. The program, inaugurated by Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains and Finland’s Ambassador to India, Kimmo Lahdevirta, focuses on adopting new, engaging teaching methodologies.

Minister Bains lauded the teachers’ commitment to innovative learning and emphasized the importance of international collaboration. The Finnish Ambassador reaffirmed Finland’s dedication to supporting Punjab’s educational development.

This initiative will empower participating teachers to train their colleagues, creating a cascading effect across the state’s primary schools. The goal is to establish a self-sustaining model for continuous educational improvement in Punjab. The first batch of teachers completed their training in Finland earlier this year.
