**NEW DELHI, March 3, 2025** – Delhi Power Minister Ashish Sood has directed power department officials to complete repairs of any power grid failures within five minutes and remove all unauthorized overhead cables across the city. The directives, issued during a review meeting of the Summer Action Plan, aim to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the upcoming summer months.

Minister Sood emphasized the importance of swift repairs and the removal of unauthorized cables to reduce strain on power poles and prevent outages. He announced that the Power Department will hold bi-weekly review meetings to monitor progress. The meeting included senior officials from the Power Department and electricity distribution companies (discoms).

The Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to reliable power supply, highlighting the proactive efforts under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to prevent summer power shortages.
