Sun Mar 02 23:59:48 UTC 2025: ## Netanyahu Thanks Trump for Military Aid in Fight Against Iran

**Jerusalem, March 3, 2025** – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday for releasing military munitions previously withheld by the Biden administration. Netanyahu stated that this aid would enable Israel to complete its operation against what he termed Iran’s “terror axis.”

The statement, delivered in a video message, follows similar comments made last month during a joint press conference with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Netanyahu has repeatedly condemned Iran’s nuclear program and its regional proxies, including Hamas, with whom Israel has been engaged in conflict in the Gaza Strip since October 2023.

Netanyahu lauded Trump as Israel’s “greatest friend” in the White House, emphasizing the significance of the released munitions in the ongoing conflict. He reiterated claims that Israel has already inflicted significant damage on Iran’s network of allied militants, which includes Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthi rebels in Yemen.

Secretary Rubio confirmed on Saturday the expedited processing of approximately $4 billion in military assistance to Israel, reversing a partial arms embargo implemented under the previous administration. Trump’s return to the presidency has seen the reinstatement of a “maximum pressure” policy against Iran. The strong U.S.-Israel alliance was further highlighted by Netanyahu’s invitation as the first head of state to visit the White House last month.
