Mon Mar 03 05:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Karimnagar Gears Up for Legislative Council Election Count

**Karimnagar, March 2, 2025** – The counting of votes for the Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Graduates’ and Teachers’ constituencies in the Telangana Legislative Council elections will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday at Ambedkar Stadium in Karimnagar. A mock count was conducted on Sunday to ensure a smooth process.

The Graduates’ constituency recorded a 70.42% voter turnout, while the Teachers’ constituency saw a 91.90% turnout. The Graduates’ election is particularly closely contested, with the Congress and BJP vying for victory. The fate of 56 candidates in the Graduates’ constituency, including Congress’ V Narender Reddy, BJP’s Chinnamile Anji Reddy, and BSP’s Prasanna Harikrishna, will be decided. Fifteen candidates are competing in the Teachers’ constituency.

Due to the preferential voting system, the counting process is expected to take over 24 hours. Approximately 800 staff members, supported by tight security, have been deployed for the count, overseen by Collector and Returning Officer Pamela Satpathy.
