**Pudukottai, March 3, 2025** – A 47-year-old man succumbed to injuries sustained during a jallikattu event in Edaiyathur village, Pudukottai district, on Sunday. R. Palanisamy was gored by a bull on February 28th while watching the traditional bull-taming event. He was treated at Pudukottai Government Medical College Hospital but later died. The Karaiyur police have registered a case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita following a complaint filed by his son, P. Jeyaprakash.
