Mon Mar 03 17:04:07 UTC 2025: ## KSRTC Employees Demand Wage Parity and Pension Payments
**Hubballi, Karnataka – March 4, 2025** – The Dharwad Division of the KSRTC Employees League is demanding that the Karnataka State government honor its pre-election promise to improve the working conditions and benefits for public transport employees. Addressing the press on Monday, league honorary president P.H. Neeralakeri criticized the government’s inaction, highlighting that wages haven’t been revised in two and a half years and over 22,000 pensioners are still awaiting payments, some for over four years.
Neeralakeri urged the government to extend the benefits enjoyed by government employees to KSRTC staff, effectively treating them as government employees. He called for a ₹10,000 crore allocation in the upcoming state budget to address wage discrepancies and other employee needs, stating this would rectify at least 50% of the existing issues. He also requested the immediate filling of vacant positions within the transport corporations.
Furthermore, Neeralakeri urged the North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation Managing Director, Priyanga M., to conduct visits to all four divisions to address employee grievances directly. The league’s demands underscore the growing dissatisfaction among KSRTC employees regarding delayed pension payments and stagnant wages.
