**Kannur, March 3, 2025** – The E. Ahamed Foundation announced a series of ambitious academic and intellectual initiatives to honor the legacy of the late E. Ahamed, former IUML national president and Minister of State for External Affairs. The announcement followed the E. Ahamed International Conference held in Kannur earlier this month.

Key initiatives include the construction of a foundation headquarters in Kannur, the establishment of a scholarship program, and the creation of a research and publication wing. The E. Ahamed Foundation APS Scholarship will provide financial support to 100 students pursuing CMA (India), CMA (USA), and ACCA courses. Successful candidates will be selected based on merit through a written examination and interview in early April.

The foundation also plans to develop a comprehensive academic library and a research wing to promote scholarly work, particularly focusing on Malayalam research and Kannur’s history. The foundation will provide accommodation for visiting scholars.

According to Abdul Karim Cheleri, general secretary of the E. Ahamed Foundation, the organization will collaborate with government and non-government institutions to offer various training programs and civil service coaching. The ultimate goal is to enhance Kannur’s global standing by leveraging its rich history and culture.
