**Cincinnati, OH –** The Cincinnati Bengals announced a flurry of roster moves today, including the release of starting guard Alex Cappa. Cappa, who would have entered his eighth NFL season in 2025, started all 50 regular season games he played for the Bengals since joining the team as a free agent in 2022. The team also released defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins, who was later placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Illness list.
Offsetting these departures, the Bengals signed several players to contract extensions and reserve/future contracts. Long snapper Cal Adomitis received a one-year extension through 2025, while punter Ryan Rehkow signed a two-year extension through 2026. Cornerback Jalen Davis, wide receiver Mitchell Tinsley, and tight end Cam Grandy all received Reserve/Future contracts. Additionally, the Bengals signed 11 other players to Reserve/Future contracts.
