Sat Mar 01 19:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Cheerleaders Bring $64 Million Economic Boost to Dallas

**Dallas, TX** – The National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) All-Star Championship, currently underway in Dallas, is injecting a significant economic boost into the city. Over 58,000 people, including more than 30,000 cheerleaders from 43 states and nine countries, have flocked to North Texas for the competition. This massive influx of visitors is estimated to generate $64 million for the local economy, filling restaurants, hotels, and airports.

“The airports are absolutely full. There’s a lot of traffic, and there’s a buzz in the air when the cheerleaders arrive,” said Justin Carrier, Varsity Spirit Vice President of Competition Experience. Long-time attendees echo the excitement. “We’ve been coming for 25 years,” stated cheer coach True Hall. “It’s our favorite national by far.”

Parents attending the event, while acknowledging significant travel expenses, see the experience as invaluable. “You can’t put a price on something this amazing,” said Taylor Novak’s mother.

Beyond the economic impact, the competition offers participants significant personal growth. “It builds their confidence, their character,” Hall explained.

However, this economic windfall for Dallas is temporary. Planned renovations to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center mean the championship will relocate to Houston for the foreseeable future. “Our hope is to come back someday,” Carrier added.
