**Hyderabad, March 1, 2025** – The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president, K.T. Rama Rao, has sharply criticized the Congress government in Telangana, alleging a rise in farmer suicides and overall mismanagement during their 450 days in power. Rao claimed 450 farmers have taken their own lives due to the government’s inadequate response to their concerns.
Speaking after welcoming defectors from the BJP and Congress, Rao accused the Congress of financial mismanagement, diluting the Rythu Bandhu farmer investment support scheme and failing to deliver on loan waiver promises. He further blamed the Congress for the recent SLBC tunnel collapse and the state’s current water crisis, which he says is leading to crop failure. These accusations come in contrast to the Congress’ claims of developmental progress.
